The EWALD family business is characterized by humanity, honesty, passion and personality. EWALD is like a family for all its employees.

Founded in 1940, the company is meanwhile run by the fourth generation. Its founder, hairdresser Robert Schmidt, developed a mountain herb hair lotion, made from herbs, flowers and leaves which were picked by hand from Thuringian meadows, forests and fields. We are proud to continue this long tradition of genuine inventiveness and make our contribution to maintain it. To do this, we are constantly further developing our performance and follow our path of an internationally operating company preserving the values of a family-run business.

Trendiness and innovation are not only sales arguments for us but fundamental values of active entrepreneurship in all areas. What does this mean to us in everyday life? During the day, for instance, we are powered by almost 100 % solar energy by the solar system at our Nahetal-Waldau location!

We conduct research out of conviction – consistently and always at the highest level. Our highly qualified R & D team has enabled EWALD for decades to bring its own products to market and to effect steady improvement in all areas.

We use a certified quality management system (DIN EN ISO 9001:2008). All our cosmetic products are manufactured in compliance with the guidelines on Good Manufacturing Practices for cosmetic products (Cosmetics – GMP).
